Empty The Shelters Happens This Saturday The 12th

It was 2 years ago that me and my family adopted our dog Mia.  I really wanted to find a dog that was small enough in size that my daughter could hold and one that needed a home.  Enter Mia, a Dachshund/Yorkie mix.  Or Dorkie as we like to say.  lol.  She was sickly and not house trained when we got her.  With patients and love she is doing great.  I can’t imagine not having her in our lives.  She has captured the hearts of everyone in my family.  If you’re thinking about adopting, this weekend is the perfect time.  It’s Bissell’s National Empty The Shelters day on Saturday, October 12th.  They will help with adoption fees and more.  Every week we feature an animal up for adoption from the West Michigan Humane Society with our “Tail of the Week.”  The West Michigan Humane Society is one of many shelters participating.  To fill out an adoption form and to learn more click the link below.
