Kids’ Food Basket Will Continue To Provide Lunch For Children During School Closure

Kids’ Food Basket, a non-profit here in West Michigan helping to feed children in need, will continue to provide lunches for kids during the school closures.  Michigan Governor Whitmer announced Thursday that she is ordering all K-12 schools to close starting Monday, March 16 until Sunday, April 5th.  Kids’ Food Basket said on their website that they will continue to ‘provide evening meals and other nutritional services, through several distribution locations. A virus cannot and will not stop hunger. It is during these times that our kids need you now, more than ever.’   Kids’ Food Basket serves schools in four counties: Kent, Ottawa, Muskegon and Allegan.  You can find more information here.
